The mission of Career Connect Metro West is to connect good people to good jobs.
Good Jobs Are Going Unfilled!
Over the next 10 years, DuPage County manufacturers will need to replace 9,000 retiring employees. These are jobs that pay well, can provide benefits, and have a ladder of opportunity. However, very few have become skilled in the trades required to fill these positions. However, very few have found the manufacturing industry as a viable career path over the past two decades. Fewer still actually have the skills necessary for manufacturing, leaving our workforce with plenty of customer-service industry professionals and a high need for skilled workers in fields like machining and welding.
CCMW is the missing entity needed to fill the mid skill jobs gap in manufacturing. CCMW recruits, assesses, and supports suitable candidates from the ranks of the unemployed and underemployed.
In collaboration with Jane Adams Resource Corp. (JARC) and the Alliance for Illinois Manufacturing (AIM), we are ready to find the people that can work hard, train them in advanced skills, and connect them with quality employers.
